A Change of Taste

So I get to go home at the end of this month. Yay! I have decided that this summer my blog will be changing to a cooking blog. I love to cook, I have always loved to cook and there are so many amazing recipes out there I think I might be kind and share them with you! (If anyone is actually reading my blog...) I am a vegetarian so I love getting created with my dishes. There are so many amazing and healthy things you can make. Just wanted to fill you in on what was going down. It's been a while, and I must be crazy

Wow long time no blog! School is pretty darn crazy but I can't believe that I only have one week left and then exams and that will be it. I will be done my first year. Woohoo! Kinda sad though...But I scored a townhouse to live in next year with some friends so I am pretty stoked for that! Plus, I will finally be 19! :)

So I woke up at 7:30 this morning and went for a run, my first one in god knows how long! It was good but a challenge but i'm not surprised. I'm gonna try and do it everyday! After all, summer is coming!

Soo tired!

Hello all! So I am crazy tired because today I woke up at the horrifying hour of 8am! On a saturday, with no school and no work and nothing! Ridiculous!! So anyway today was my Dad's birthday, and he still took me shopping! Seriously he is the best dad ever! I don't have my camera here but once I do I will post pics of the purchases! Tonight my brothers came up and we all went out for dinner. I had calamari and a sante fe veggie burger with caesar salad. Soo yummy! I don't really have much else to say, as you can probably tell from how boring this post is, I really am exhausted! I'm going to curl up on the couch with a blanket and one of the greatest movies ever made, War of the Buttons!

Something New

Hello All! So yesterday I was not as strong as I would have hoped to be with this whole eating healthy thing. My best friend Holly suggested I keep a food journal because that helps her stay on track, I have been doing this but over the weekend I got a little lazy and didn't write in it. However, I have got back into it because like I said, I am really serious about wanting to do this. I go home this weekend, so I am planning on bringing back plenty of  healthy snacks to help me stay away from the cookies and chips that are in such high supply in the dining hall. There is even a poster trying to convince people to eat potatoes because it will make you skinny...I had to laugh a little at this.

Here are a few of my favourite things right now:
 I used to hate bananas, like seriously, hate them. Now, I love them! I went to get one after dinner tonight and was quite disappointed to see that they were all green. Like lime green. I can't eat them like that.
 Because I couldn't have a banana I got some tried mango instead. So delicious! I had never seen this in the dining hall before but it was there today! Yummy. I used to just eat apples as my fruit, but honestly I am so sick of them I can't even look at them. What are some of your favourite fruits?
I am basically living off of green tea right now. Mine doesn't look as pretty as this, but it sure tastes yummy! What other tea brands are good? Growing up with British parents and Grandparents, we pretty much stick to earl grey or orange peeko at my house. I had never even had green tea until about a year ago. I am trying to broaden my horizons! Any suggestions?

Today I bought a green tea from Tim Hortons. Roll Up the Rim is on and I finally won something! A free coffee....If this was six months ago I would have been stoked to win a coffee! I used to drink like 4 cups a day. (Really bad, I know!) Now I only have a french vanilla lite coffee like once every two weeks. I've been trying to ween myself off of it. It's been a difficult journey, and I don't want to be swept back up into it again!
Well since I have pretty much no life, I am going to go do more math homework. I have already done like 5 hours of math today. No fun :(

Maybe, Finally...

Hello All! Once again just a quick post before I jet to class! So my whole healthy eatiing and exerrcise thing might be starting to pay off! I think I may have actually lost a few pounds which makes me extremely happy! No plans of stopping though, I really want to make a difference! (In a healthy way don't worry!)

Did you guys watch the Oscars last night? I only watched best actor cause I was studying but my Mum recorded it for me so I can watch when I go home on the weekend. I was pretty devied James Franco didn't win, given that I am in love with him and everything, but Colin Firth is amazing, and he deserved it. What were your takes on the Oscars last night? Were you happy with the overall winners? Unhappy? Let me know!

Day 4

Hola People! So far everything is going pretty well with my new healthy lifestyle plan thingy. It is a bit difficult because of cafeteria but I am managing my best! I also come home from class and go for a walk or do a bit of a workout before I flop down to do my homework or surf the web. Wish me luck as I continue with this, I do not plan to give up!

Healthy Livingg

Hey guys! So here it is, a new post as promised! So the other day when I got back to campus after reading break I looked in my mirror and realised that I am not crazy about my body. I know I'm not fat but I am a little chubby and it just suddenly hit me that I want to do something about it. So I am starting a detox. Not one of those crazy ones where you only drink the water with the herbs, just one where you cut out a lot of sugar and uneeded (is that a word??) waste from your diet. I will be staying away from potatoes, dairy, sugar, and all kinds of junk food that is not helping my body at all. I am really trying to eat better cause obviously I want to take care of my body. It is hard because I live on campus and have to eat cafeteria food everyday which isn't exactly the best for you...It is also difficult to get a lot of exercise time at school and because of a knee injury from when I was younger I can't run very well and it also effects other forms of exercise. So for right now crunches push ups and walking are my only options. Does anyone have any advice or tips for me? It's all appreciated!
